The large house was built in 1891 by monseigneur Gély, bishop fo Mende. It faces south towards woodland in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Grands Causses. An ideal setting for hill walking (between 500 and 1200 mètres), you can explore at leisure the rich regional heritage of the templars, Roquefort cheeses, the Millau Viaduct, Sylvanès abbey, and the miraculous spring of St-Méén. There are also plenty of local fêtes and other activities to.
Built as a priory and hosterlyfor pilgrins walking the nearly route to Santiago de Compostella, the building still houses a modest little chapel.
Eliane & Jean-Louis' hospitality places special emphasis on country cooking using the freshest ingredients, sourced wherever possible from local producers. The comfy and welcoming rooms, with decor inspired by great impressionist painters, all facing south of the front of the house, provide the finishing touch to this special place and receive many compliments from guests.
Eliane & Jean-Louis are always happy to guide you through the wide choice of destinations and activities avalaible, ensuring you get the most out of your visit.
